Moldova - Red grapes have risen in price on the Moldovan market

Moldova (bbabo.net), - On the eve of the winter holidays in Moldova, the price for red grapes, traditionally in greater demand among Moldovan consumers than white grapes, even seedless grapes, has risen in price. for 1 lei / kg - up to 16 lei / kg ($ 0.90 / kg). Moreover, in the overwhelming majority of cases, this applies to imported products. The range of wholesale prices for Moldova grapes has not changed since the end of the first week of December.

The Association of Producers and Exporters of Table Sorts Grapes notes that the stabilization of wholesale prices for Moldova grapes is due to the small supply of these products in this period. Moreover, retail in the domestic market mainly receives Moldavian grapes of low quality, therefore, as they say in the organization, “the potential for price increases for this product has been exhausted”.

Meanwhile, the experts of the association claim that some agricultural enterprises and trading companies still have small stocks of "Moldova" in the fruit storages - from several tens to several hundred tons. Moreover, these are high quality grapes, most likely they will be sold next year and for export. In turn, the leadership of the branch association calls on winegrowers to supply a certain share of the most high-quality Moldova grapes - a symbolic, “visiting” product for Moldovans - to local supermarket chains.
