Russia (bbabo.net), - The Appeals Commission under Rosturizm recommends that the Rosturizm revoke its accreditation from the public organization "Union of Citizens for the Protection of Consumer Rights" Kurortny Crimea ", which determines the star rating of accommodation facilities, the press service of the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.

This decision was made by the commission after checking the compliance of the Crimean hotels with the assigned star categories after complaints from tourists. An additional check of other accommodation facilities classified by "Kurortny Krym" is also underway.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic, Vadim Volchenko, said that following the results of only two inspections, federal experts, employees of Rostourism, the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Kazakhstan, members of the Appeals Commission, as well as representatives of "star-hung" organizations revealed that some Crimean hotels did not meet the requirements of the assigned category. Among other things, they found the lack of instructions on fire safety measures and plans for evacuation in case of fire, fire equipment, fire alarm systems, warning systems, as well as emergency exits, which, "together with narrow staircases and passages, pose real threats to the life and health of people."

In addition, in these hotels, according to the minister, mattresses are dirty, plumbing is broken, tiles are chipped, wires in the wall are exposed, there is mold, dust and insects in radiators and bed linen. Volchenko warned the owners of these accommodations that without eliminating the violations, they would not be able to resume work.

The unjustified assignment of a star rating to Crimean hotels will be considered by a specialized commission in Moscow. The head of the Ministry of Tourism also urged tourists who encounter similar violations and inconsistencies with the declared stardom in Crimean hotels to inform him about this in personal messages on the Facebook page, as well as at the ministry's email address: kurort@mtur.rk.gov.ru.

According to the operational data of the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 894 accommodation facilities are accredited in Crimea. Of these, 10 are recognized as corresponding to the "five stars" category, 52 - "four stars", 218 - "three stars", 154 - "two stars", 31 - "one star". 429 accommodations left unrated.
