Yatsenyuk told how the second tranche from the IMF will be used

The second tranche of the International Monetary Fund in the amount of 1.7 billion USD will be used to replenish international reserves of the National Bank of Ukraine.

This was stated by Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk on the TV channel Espresso tv.

"Back in February, the National Bank's gold and exchange reserves amounted to only 5.6 billion dollars. And all this money allocated by IMF, will be used to replenish the foreign exchange reserves of the NBU. Our reserves will reach 12 billon USD." - said the head of government.

According to him, this is the key element of the national currency stability and a necessary condition for the normal operation of the Ukrainian banking sector.

Yatsenyuk also emphasized that the decision of the IMF to provide Ukraine the next tranche shows that the country attempts to fight corruption, said news portal New Time.

As it is well known, the Board of Directors of the International Monetary Fund completed the first review of the implementation of the Ukrainian economic program supported by the Extended Fund loan, and approved the second tranche of the loan in the amount of 1.7 billon USD.
