Russia (bbabo.net), - Any family member can go on parental leave up to one and a half years: mom, dad, grandmother, grandfather, aunt or uncle. Upon registration of such leave, a working relative is entitled to benefits. It is assigned in the amount of 40% of the average earnings calculated for the past two calendar years, however, it cannot be less than the minimum and more than the maximum amount.

The minimum benefit is indexed annually from February 1st. In 2021, it amounted to 7082.85 rubles, it was preliminary announced to increase it by 5.8% in 2022 - to 7493.65 rubles. Its maximum size from January 1, 2022 will be 31,282.82 rubles. In this amount, the allowance will be paid to the relative whose salary is from 78207.05 rubles and above. In the regions of the Far North and equivalent territories, the allowance is paid taking into account increasing coefficients.

The allowance for caring for a child up to one and a half years old will be accrued to working citizens from the moment of registration of parental leave, the Social Insurance Fund explains.

A non-working parent caring for a child under one and a half years of age is entitled to a minimum allowance, which can be obtained from the social security authorities. But other non-working relatives will be able to apply for it only if the father or mother has died or declared dead, as well as missing, limited or deprived of parental rights, recognized as partially or completely incapacitated, cannot take care of the child for health reasons, are serving punishment in a prison or colony for a crime committed, or are in custody, do not take part in raising children, or have issued a refusal to have a child.

Parental leave is taken into account in the retirement record of the parents, and pension coefficients are calculated for it. The insurance period includes the period of parental leave from birth to one and a half years, but not more than six years in total for all children. For the first child - 1.8 per year, for the second child - 3.6 per year, for the third and fourth children - 5.4 per year.

The allowance is paid until the child is one and a half years old. The payment ends if the person caring for the child went to work a full day before the onset of this age.
