Russia - Uranium has risen in price against the background of events in Kazakhstan

Russia (bbabo.net) - World uranium prices have risen amid events in Kazakhstan. This is evidenced by the data of the company UxC, which is engaged in the corresponding calculations.

UxC analysis showed that uranium prices climbed 8% on Wednesday to $ 45.25 a pound from $ 42 on Tuesday. At the same time, it was previously reported that shares of the national atomic company of Kazakhstan Kazatomprom fell by 9% during trading on the London Stock Exchange (LSE).

In January-September 2020, uranium production in Kazakhstan increased by 6%, and Kazatomprom's net profit decreased by half compared to the same period last year. The country's uranium reserves account for 15% of the world's total. Uranium itself has risen in price sharply - by almost a quarter - in September 2021.
