In 2021, the economy of Moldova entered an upward trajectory

Moldova (bbabo.net), - The resumption of domestic demand and the revival of economic activity are the main factors that determined the economic growth of our country in 2021. According to the report of the Ministry of Economy, in the year just ended, the national economy entered an upward trajectory. In the first nine months of last year, gross domestic product increased by 10.3% over the same period last year, agora.md reports.

Areas that recorded growth in 2021: domestic trade, agriculture, health and social services, information and communications.

The positive development of domestic trade, that is, the services provided to the population, indicates an improvement in demand. In the agricultural sector, growth was driven solely by crop production, while livestock continued to decline.

The intensification of the industrial sector was fully driven by processing activities, in particular furniture production, light industry and the processing of fruits and vegetables.

Health care services were among the most in demand and had a big impact on GDP growth.

There were also signs of recovery in the IT sector, which rose 11.9% in January-September.

Industries stagnating in 2021:

- activities of households as employers for personnel;

- activities of households for the production of goods and services for their own consumption;

- accommodation and catering;

- water distribution;

- sanitation, waste management;

- professional, scientific and technical activities.

Although compared to 2020, 2021 was clearly good from an economic point of view, experts are making gloomy predictions for the year just started. According to them, the country's economy will continue to be affected by the pandemic crisis, as well as the energy crisis.
