Minimum wage may be increased in Moldova from February

Moldova (bbabo.net), - It is possible to raise the minimum wage in the real sector. Since February, they intend to raise it by almost 600 lei to three and a half thousand. The corresponding draft resolution must be approved by the government. Workers 'and employers' unions have requested an increase amid a sharp rise in inflation, publika.md reports

"This applies to everything except the budgetary sphere. These are companies, organizations that are self-governing. I think that in May we will see how things will be and how events will develop, I think there will be another increase," said the chairman of the National Confederation of Patronages Vladislav Kaminsky.

According to the chairman of the National Trade Union Confederation, this is the highest increase to date.

"From February 1, it will be increased by 19.25 percent. The plan to increase this guaranteed amount has already been submitted for approval. The main goal of the NKPM is to achieve the minimum wage or guaranteed minimum amount, which is 50% of the average salary in the economy," he said ...

This year, the average salary in the economy will be 9,900. According to the Minister of Labor and Social Protection, the increase in salaries in the real sector is reasonable.

At the same time, some citizens believe that the wage increase is too small against the backdrop of the recent chain of price increases.

The guaranteed minimum wage in the real sector does not include additional salary and other incentive or compensation payments. Currently, about 200 thousand citizens work in the real sector, a quarter of them receive the minimum wage.
