Moldova - Premier Energy asks to significantly increase the electricity tariff

Moldova (bbabo.net) - The largest distributor of electricity in the Republic of Moldova, Premier Energy announced that last week it applied to ANRE with a request to increase electricity tariffs for consumers. Currently, the tariff for the population is 1.51 lei / kWh; if the request of Premier Energy is accepted by ANRE, the price per kWh will reach 2.79 lei.

The reason why Premier Energy is demanding an increase in the electricity tariff is the increase by Energocom of the price of electricity supplied in the period from November to December by 96%, to 2.42 lei kWh and by 86% from January 1, 2022, to 2 , 29 lei per kWh compared to October 2021, according to bani.md

“Financial deviations from the increase in the cost of electricity lead to an increase in the purchase price of electricity by 500 million lei in the period from November 2021 to March 2022, by about 100 million lei per month, which makes it difficult for the company to make payments for the purchased electricity,” says For more information, see Premier Energy.

By the end of December 2021, the financial deviations of the company amounted to 153.8 million lei.

Another reason why Premier Energy is demanding an increase in the electricity tariff is a 100% increase in the price of electricity purchased in Ukraine from September 2021.

Therefore, Premier Energy is calling for the approval and publication of the following tariffs for the supply of electricity, to be applied no later than February 1, 2022:

210.50 ban / kWh for electricity supplied at the points of entry in the power transmission network.

224.71 bans / kWh for electricity supplied at points of exit from power transmission networks.

226.84 bans / kWh for end users whose installations are connected to 35-110 kV high voltage power distribution networks.

241.40 ban / kWh for end users, whose installations are connected to 6-10 kV medium voltage distribution networks

278.99 bans / kWh for end users whose installations are connected to 0.4 kV low voltage power distribution networks.
