Ukrainian agricultural export may be under threat of being banned - expert says

The absence of effective state control over compliance with the requirements of food law could endanger the Ukrainian agricultural export.

This is stated in the material of the food law advisor of the World Bank, Kateryna Onul, for "European truth".

"The absence of the possibility of planned state control over compliance with food safety requirements at the respective enterprises means the lack of effective state control over production and turnover of food products," - says the expert.

Now food companies in Ukraine have been working without state control for 10 months.

As it is noted, before the end of 2016 inspections of enterprises of food processing industry in Ukraine are possible only under permission of the Cabinet of Ministers, and it carries risks for food exports.
