HUF 100 mln allocated to battle brain drain

The National Economy Ministry has launched a program to entice young Hungarians working abroad to return home, where their skills are most needed. In the first round, the program received HUF 100 mln in funding, which could be used to assist in the relocation of 50 young Hungarians, Sándor Czomba said on Wednesday.

The program primarily targets Hungarians living and working in London, many of whom are university graduates working in professions where there are labor shortages in Hungary, he said. The program could also be used to help participants establish businesses in Hungary, he added.
