Russia - Sales of automotive parts via the Internet increased in the south of Russia

Russia (bbabo.net), - Russians are increasingly buying spare parts and components for their cars in online stores. Krasnodar and Rostov-on-Don entered the top cities where there is the greatest interest in buying auto parts. They were also accompanied by Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Voronezh, Krasnoyarsk and Samara.

According to analysts from the AliExpress-Russia and Yukassa companies, payments in online stores for three quarters of 2021 increased by 28 percent, and the number of purchases - by 18. The average check was 4,498 rubles, which is nine percent more than in 2020 year.

The most popular were spare parts for Ford Focus III, Volkswagen Polo, Mazda 3, Lada Priora, Renault Sandero, Lada Granta and, unexpectedly, for Citroen C5. The bestseller list includes mudguard kits, window deflectors, chrome gear shift knobs and rearview mirrors.

Universal parts are also popular, such as armrests that fit most models. At the same time, the owners of different cars choose different products. So, owners of Mazda 3 and Ford Focus most often buy products for comfortable driving. These include mudguard kits, window deflectors and chrome gear shift knobs. The owners of Lada Priora and Lada Granta choose more functional parts, for example, rear-view mirrors and mirror repeaters.

According to Yukassa, in January-September 2021, users most often bought spare parts costing from one to three thousand rubles: 35 percent of payments fall on this price category. However, the premium segment also showed increased demand. Goods worth from 50 to 80 thousand rubles began to be bought 62 percent more often. In addition, buyers are showing great interest in starters and chargers, cigarette lighter adapters and cruise control systems. The demand for electronics and sensors for cars has grown by one and a half times, for headlights - by 2.3 times. Most users choose LED bulbs over Xenon bulbs.

However, the increased demand for auto parts has led to an increase in the number of crimes: cars are dismantled, and then the parts are sold to order. For example, in Rostov-on-Don, about three dozen car owners received compensation for similar episodes from the Alfastrakhovanie company. Moreover, in some cases, when expensive cars were damaged, we are talking about large payments.

"At the beginning of the year, a statement was received from the owner of Mercedes GLE. The woman said that an unknown person entered her garage and took apart an SUV. The attacker stole almost everything: wheels, seats and doors, hood, bumper, headlights, steering torpedo, center console , two front fenders and a dashboard. As a result of contacting the insurance company, the auto-lady received compensation under the contract in the amount of 5.1 million rubles, "the insurance company said.

A similar story was told by the owner of the BMW 5 Series. One morning, leaving the house, he found only the wheels and body of his car. An unknown attacker stole all doors, front and rear leather seats, bumper, headlights, hood, trunk lid, engine control unit and fuses. The owner of the disfigured car was paid 2.8 million rubles in compensation. The same case happened with the owner of KIA Sportage, from whom practically nothing remained. The perpetrator stole front and rear bumpers, five doors, headlights and rear stop lights, wheels, steering wheel, engine and air conditioning radiators, air filters, rear trunk curtains and rubber door seals. The car owner received an insurance payment of 2.3 million rubles.

- All three episodes are non-standard and interesting, since, according to our statistics, the most popular is still car theft, and not dismantling it for parts. Here, the attackers preferred to almost completely disassemble the car, rather than steal it and sell the "full-value" product in the future, - said the director of the regional office of the insurance company Yevgeny Pakhomov.

- If a loss is found, you must immediately contact the police, contact the agent of the insurance company, and also find out if there were cameras at the scene. The presence of a video recording will allow to promptly present evidence not only to law enforcement officers, but also to the security service of an insurance company, - advises Oksana Stesheva, founder of Stesheva & Partners.

According to her, it is extremely rare to identify a criminal in such cases: the practice of searching for and bringing to justice "Frankensteins", unfortunately, is insufficient.
