Ingush official found himself between two fires after a warm meeting with Kadyrov

Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - Yahya Khadziev, the former head of the department for religious affairs under the head of Ingushetia, found himself between two fires after a warm meeting with the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, and an angry reaction to this from part of the Ingush public.

Kadyrov met with Khadziev earlier this month. It happened at the wedding of Kunta-hadji Kishiev, a descendant of the Muslim religious figure of the Vainakhs. Then Khadziev warmly greeted the head of the Chechen Republic, fraternally hugging him. However, in his native Ingushetia, Khadziev's act was not approved, demanding that he apologize. In the end, the official agreed to apologize. “I did the wrong thing by greeting and hugging him. Forgive me for the sake of God. I did not suspect that it would be so unpleasant for you,” Khadziev said at the time.

A harsh reaction soon followed from Kadyrov himself. He stated that such hostility between the peoples of Chechnya and Ingushetia is unacceptable and accused the representatives of Khadziev's teip of unworthy behavior. “They called to apologize for hugging me. [...] I asked him to hug me? Did I call him to me? - the Chechen leader was indignant.

Soon Khadziev apologized again, but this time to the head of Chechnya, Grozny Inform reports on his Instagram account. The official admitted that he was guilty and asked to be forgiven for what he had said.
