The so-called "government" of the occupied Crimea wants to conduct the census of Ukrainian citizens on the peninsula.

As reported by Censor.NET with reference to Tass, it was said by the so-called "head of the republic", Sergei Aksenov.

"Today we have to hold a census of migrants. We have in the country, according to preliminary estimates, up to 250 thousand of Ukrainian citizens. Some of them have fled from the war or came for other objective reasons. This is a great pressure on our infrastructure, the health care system, education", - he said.

"We will continue doing this, but the scale of the disaster has to be considered, refined and the sources of funding have to be identified," - said Aksenov.

He said that the "Council of Ministers" of Crimea has created a special working group on improving the system of migration management. As stated in the explanatory note to the "document", "the group has been created to accommodate migrants, integrate them into a single legal and cultural field of the Russian Federation."
