Kiev court allowed to detain Poroshenko

The Pechersky District Court of Kiev allowed the detainment of ex-president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in order to forcibly deliver him to a meeting where the issue of choosing a measure of restraint for him will be decided. It is reported by UNIAN with reference to one of the lawyers of the former head of state.

According to Igor Golovan, the office of the Prosecutor General and the Pechersky District Court of Kiev hide the existence of such a decree. According to the lawyer, there are no grounds for detaining Poroshenko and forcibly bringing him to court.

As Golovan noted, upon his return to Ukraine, Poroshenko is ready to voluntarily come to court on January 17. The defense of the ex-president demanded that a court session be scheduled for the day of his return to Kiev.

By the way, earlier the court seized all of Poroshenko's property as part of the treason case. It is noteworthy that Vita Bortnitskaya, the judge of the Pechersky District Court of Kiev, who made this decision, ended up in the database of the Ukrainian nationalist website "Peacemaker".
