First of all, the prime minister thanked the laureates and all media workers for the great work done in the fight against the spread of coronavirus. For the third year, the whole world has been living in a pandemic, and news about the situation in Russia and in the world remains the most popular among the audience, Mishustin noted. "Many journalists and editorial offices fought against false information, or, as they say today, fakes, helping people figure out how to protect themselves and their loved ones from the disease," he said.

“Your responsible attitude has played a huge role in this - it has convinced tens of thousands of people to make the right choice and protect themselves and those around them,” the head of the Cabinet said. “Your principled position, professional approach to presenting facts, and the desire to give the most objective picture of current events is really necessary for the citizens of our great country and for other people."

Finally, the audience is increasingly looking for news on the Web and mobile applications. Under such conditions, it is not easy for the media, especially in the regions, to ensure economic independence and retain jobs. "Despite all the difficulties, you remain successful, do not lose your individuality and ability to work in a team. And most importantly, you are always ready to listen sensitively to people, to the audience of your programs, publications. This is a very necessary quality for every journalist," the head of the Cabinet said.

The words of gratitude from the Prime Minister also sounded for close attention and detailed coverage of the work of all levels of government to implement national development goals. Thanks to the media, the head of the Cabinet emphasized, people will learn what is being done to fulfill the tasks set by the president, so that the quality of life in villages, cities, each region and throughout the country is constantly improving. Finally, the media help the authorities get feedback from citizens. "And here your role - communicators, mediators of communication between people and authorities - is absolutely irreplaceable," Mishustin is sure.
