Russia - How Muscovites Can Help Sick Children and Adults

Russia (bbabo.net), - Last year, users of the mos.ru portal transferred more than 13.5 million rubles to organizations connected to the charitable service. The average payment was 338 rubles.

Let me remind you that the charity service on mos.ru has been operating since October 2020. Now 60 trusted charitable organizations are connected to it, helping children and adults with disabilities or in difficult life situations, as well as shelters for homeless animals. Each fund has its own page where users can learn more about its activities. The service is now used by more than 19.5 thousand people. According to Yevgeny Kozlov, First Deputy Head of the Office of the Mayor and the Government of Moscow, contributions are also growing. “If at the beginning of 2021 users transferred a little more than 400 thousand rubles a month to charitable organizations, then by the end of the year the amount of payments per month exceeded 4.7 million rubles,” he clarifies.

To transfer, just select the program and the amount. Authorized users can optionally set up regular auto payments. You can do this after transferring funds to charity in the "My payments" section. To do this, on the page with the result of the payment, click on the link "Connect auto payment", and then select the frequency and date of debiting, as well as the amount and method of payment. But you can set up automatic payments only when paying with a bank card. The service is also available in the mobile application "My Moscow". You can easily find it in the "My payments" section. To help a specific fund, you need to click on the "Help" button under its name and indicate the amount of the transfer.

Donating an average of 338 rubles each, Muscovites collected 13.5 million over the year

With the help of a charity service, you can support adults with blood cancer. Many patients with acute leukemia will benefit from a bone marrow transplant. These surgeries in Russia are paid for by the state, but the selection of a donor, preparation of a transplant and delivery to a clinic are not included in the quota. The Leukemia Foundation allocates funds received through mos.ru for the treatment and examination of patients, as well as for the search for donors for bone marrow transplantation. And the Family Hearth Foundation helps families with many children and low-income families and parents of children with disabilities. The collected funds are used to purchase special food for children with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, as well as prostheses and other technical means of rehabilitation.
