Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the situation around Ukraine is excessively tense, so Moscow insists on specific answers to its proposals for security guarantees. He announced this in an interview with CNN.

“It is for this reason that we insist on getting a direct answer to our concerns, a very specific answer to our very specific proposals,” he said.

Earlier, Peskov said that there was no escalation from Russia regarding Ukraine, and the United States did not provide evidence of its accusations. He added that Russia is not involved in the attacks on Ukrainian government websites.

According to him, the Kremlin is aware of the claims that Russia was allegedly behind the cyber attacks, but this is “another unsubstantiated accusation” against Moscow.

The attack on the websites of Ukrainian ministries and departments took place on the morning of January 14th. On the main pages of the sites, a stub was placed in Russian, Polish and Ukrainian, in which it was reported that all the personal data of the one who visited this site was “uploaded to the public network”, and the data on the computer “is destroyed, it is impossible to restore it.”
