Ukraine has risen to 58th place in the ranking of public data transparency

Ukraine has risen by 10 positions in the world rankings of public data openness called Global Open Data Index and took 58th place out of 134 countries in 2015. This was said to the "DS" by the press service of the Ministry of Finance.

Each year, the rating determines how various governments have made public data more accessible and open to the public.

In Ukraine, crucial for such an increase in the ranking was the access to the expenditure data on budgetary funds on the web-site www.e-data.gov.ua, and data on public procurement.

Project e-data provides transparency of budgetary procedures, allowing each person to see transactions in real time and is a tool for analyzing and monitoring the implementation of the budget, which helps in the fight against corruption.

In 2014, Ukraine took the 68th place in the same ranking.
