Russia (bbabo.net), - Statements by US officials about an allegedly planned provocation against Ukraine are complete disinformation. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

"Let's not forget what American officials said about the very topic of the so-called Russian invasion of Ukraine. In particular, by spreading complete disinformation that we are preparing a provocation with an attack almost on the Russian-speaking population in the Donbass in order to get an excuse for that very invasion," Lavrov said.

Commenting on the words of US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland about 18 developed scenarios of actions in case of an escalation around Ukraine, the minister noted with irony that in the United States, apparently, they are organizing a competition on this topic. "It seems that the United States, as reported, has 17 special services and intelligence services. Maybe 17 plus the State Department - 18 scenarios. Maybe they are announcing a competition within themselves," Lavrov said.

As the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed, Kiev is obliged to comply with the Minsk agreements. "There can be no plan B for the Ukrainian regime," Lavrov said. In his opinion, the United States may well force Kiev to comply with the agreements, since "today, of course, Ukraine is under the external control of the United States."
