Kiev rejects Lukashenka's statement about Ukrainian radicals on the border

The press secretary of the Security Service of Ukraine, Artem Dekhtyarenko, denied the words of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko that Kiev had concentrated units of the National Guard, consisting of "radical nationalists", near the border. This is reported by the publication LB.ua.

“Manipulative statements by pro-Kremlin politicians and representatives of Russian satellite states about Ukraine’s alleged build-up of “radical nationalists” near its own border, who are supposedly “worse than NATO military personnel,” do not correspond to reality,” the agency’s representative said.

He also called such statements "political manipulation and part of the information war against Ukraine."

Dekhtyarenko also pointed out that the SBU, the Ministry of Defense, the armed forces of Ukraine and other state authorities are taking the necessary measures within their powers to prevent destabilization of the situation in the country, including in the information sphere.

Earlier, Lukashenko said that more than 30,000 military personnel along with special equipment were deployed near the borders of the republic from Poland and the Baltic states. According to the head of Belarus, Kiev uses units of the National Guard, which, he believes, consists of radical nationalists.

The politician claims that Warsaw asked NATO to transfer alliance forces to the line. In his opinion, such preparations are made for a reason, and the West is preparing "for something serious."
