Arestovich resigned from all government posts

Freelance adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak and a representative of the Ukrainian delegation in the contact group to resolve the situation in Donbass, Aleksey Arestovich, accused the authorities of bureaucracy and resigned from all government posts he held. This was reported by Channel 4 on Facebook with reference to the official's comment.

“According to him, he resigned of his own free will, and he will no longer be present at the next meeting of the contact group on Donbass.

Arestovich announced that “the information is still unofficial” and left for “personal reasons,” the channel writes.

The reason for the decision, according to the publication "Strana", is the violation of basic election promises and the departure from the main principles by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

“Well, this is the worst thing that could be done to us - to “become bureaucratic”. We were supposed to be cheerful, driven guys who would take revenge on the oligarchs for the people, arrange everything, reform the country and create conditions for the next leap. Where is it all?”, Arestovich explained.

In November, former speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Dmitry Razumkov said he would take part in the next presidential election in Ukraine, adding that he had taken part in all elections.

Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev believes that Ukraine needs "a new ruling class and new deputies."
