Moldovan parties will receive support from the state budget in the amount of 42 million lei

Moldova (bbabo.net), - The political parties of Moldova will receive support from the state budget in the amount of 42 million lei in 2022 - 8 million more than a year earlier. This is provided for by the decision adopted on Tuesday by the Central Election Commission. CEC Chair Angelica Karaman said at a briefing that the funds will be distributed based on the results obtained in the early parliamentary elections in July 2021, the presidential elections in November 2020, and local elections in October 2019, reports infotag.md

"The amount is 30% of the results (votes) received in the parliamentary elections, 30% of the results obtained in the local elections, 15% of the results obtained in the presidential elections, 7.5% in proportion to the number of women elected in the parliamentary elections, 7.5% - in proportion to the number of women elected in local elections, and 5% each - in proportion to the number of young people elected in parliamentary and local elections," Karaman said.

She said that for each vote received during the local elections, parties will receive 0.36 lei every month, presidential - 0.57 lei, parliamentary - 0.71 lei.

Compared to last year, the amount of this support has actually doubled. For each elected woman during the parliamentary elections, parties will receive 6.5 thousand lei, local - 63.7 lei. For each young person elected during the parliamentary elections - 10.9 thousand lei, local - 103.6 lei.

Karaman noted that four parties were sanctioned for violations during the election campaign in November 2021 in the form of deprivation of funding for six months (for three parties, and throughout 2022 in the case of one party - Shor).
