Peskov responded to reports about the Russia-Ukraine summit in Jerusalem

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, in an interview with RIA Novosti, commented on media reports about Israel's proposal to hold a Russian-Ukrainian summit in Jerusalem.

According to the Kremlin spokesman, Moscow has not received such proposals from its Israeli counterparts.

Earlier, the Axios portal reported that in October last year, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennet offered Russian President Vladimir Putin to hold a Russia-Ukraine summit in Jerusalem. The idea of such a platform last spring was expressed by the Ukrainian authorities in a conversation with former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

According to the publication, the Kremlin at least twice was acquainted with this initiative, but did not support it.

It became known that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan invited Vladimir Putin and his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky to talks to reduce tensions between the two countries.
