Russia (bbabo.net), - Komsomolsk Oil Refinery, which is part of the oil refinery unit of NK Rosneft, has begun commercial production of high-octane gasoline AI-100 of environmental class 5.
The new fuel has a unique formulation, and its efficiency has been confirmed by the results of qualification tests by the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute for Oil Refining (VNII NP).
Gasoline AI-100-K5 is designed for modern vehicles equipped with boosted engines and pressurization systems. Due to the high octane number, the fuel allows you to fully unlock the potential of the engine and increase the dynamics of acceleration of the car. In addition, the low sulfur and benzene content reduces the formation of deposits on engine parts.
Among the operational advantages of the AI-100 are easy starting of the car engine at low temperatures and economical fuel consumption (compared to AI-98).
“The plant's technologists, together with specialists from the VNII NP, have worked out several recipes for high-octane gasoline, and the optimal one has been chosen,” says Victor Yushkin, chief engineer of the RN-Komsomolsk Oil Refinery.
Bench tests have confirmed the high performance characteristics of the AI-100-K5.
- The testing laboratory of the refinery carries out strict quality control of all gasoline components and, of course, quality control of the commercial product at all stages of production and shipment, - Viktor Yushkin emphasizes.
Earlier, the production of AI-100-K5 began at the Angarsk Petrochemical Company. In the European part of the country, this type of fuel is produced by several Rosneft enterprises: the Ryazan NPK, the Bashneft refinery, and the Yaroslavl refinery.
The production of a new brand of motor gasoline testifies to the high technological capabilities of the Komsomolsk Refinery.

The range of manufactured goods includes more than 20 items: high-octane gasolines and diesel fuel of ecological class 5, marine fuel RMLS 40 with a sulfur content of not more than 0.5 percent and other products.
