Moldova - Parliamentary opposition criticized the decision to introduce a state of emergency

Moldova (bbabo.net), - The parliamentary opposition has criticized the decision of the parliamentary majority to declare a state of emergency (state of emergency). The representatives of the opposition stated this during the debates in the parliament, infotag.md reports.

Deputy of the party "Shor" Marina Tauber said that she did not understand why it was necessary to introduce a state of emergency for 60 days. She stated that the faction would initiate a vote of no confidence in the government and called on Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilitsa to resign along with the Cabinet of Ministers.

Deputy of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists Diana Karaman said that the government is only looking for the guilty, not solutions.

"People are not interested in who is to blame. It is important for people what to do tomorrow, how to pay for gas and how to live. Citizens ask the question: why do we need such a government and such ministers who are not able to manage the situation?" Karaman said. In response, the prime minister said that the government does not blame anyone, but speaks about the real situation, and suggests

"We are the government that in this situation directs the resources of the state to maintain the standard of living of the population," the prime minister said.

BCS deputy Vasile Bolea proposed to introduce a state of emergency immediately until 2025, "because the authorities cannot govern the country in any other way." He also proposed to introduce into the draft decision a provision that the government would report to parliament every two weeks on the current progress of affairs, but he was not supported by the majority of deputies.
