Zakharova ridiculed the statement of the head of the British Foreign Office about the Mongols and Tatars in Ukraine

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, called on British Foreign Minister Liz Truss to answer questions about the history of Ukraine. The Russian speaker published the relevant questions on her Telegram channel.

According to Zakharova, Truss, "who recently rode around the Baltics in a tank," said during a January 21 meeting with Australian counterpart Marys Payne in Sydney that Ukraine had survived many invasions, "from the Mongols to the Tatars."

“Three questions to a British diplomat from Russian colleagues: how many years have passed between two invasions: 1) Mongols and Tatars; 2) she did not mention the sufferings of Ukrainians from fascism, because they were insignificant or because until the 40s of the 20th century the British crown not only supported German Nazism, but was touched by it; 3) which educational institution issued Mrs. Truss a diploma?”, - wrote the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The day before, Zakharova said that the UK has been sending weapons to Ukraine by military aircraft for several days.

In recent months, the Western media, as well as in Ukraine, have been claiming that Russia is allegedly preparing a “large-scale invasion” of Ukraine. In Moscow, such allegations have been repeatedly rejected.
