“I think this decision and how it was made raises some questions. I think there was a conflict of interest. My opinion is that it was this conflict of interest that became the basis for issuing a decree on dismissal from the post of chairman of the Appeals Chamber. The judge assessed the evidence at his own discretion. There are certain elements in this process that raise questions even on the very day when the decision was made, December 31, which is symbolic, so to speak, of the end of the year,” Stamate said.

When asked if she participated in the drafting of the decree signed by the country's president, Stamate replied that "to some extent", but the idea arose as a result of discussions between colleagues. According to the chairman of the commission, the Supreme Court of Justice will later speak on this decision of the Court of Appeal.
