Foreign Minsiter Grzegorz Schetyna met with his Mexican opposite number José Antonio Meade Kuribreña in Warsaw, Friday, to discuss deeper political and trade relations between the two countries.

“Mexico is our key partner in Latin America, both in terms of politics and the economy,” Schetyna said during the meeting.
“Now is a good time to make use of Poland’s and Mexico’s economic potential as well as the strength of our regional influence,” he added.

A statement from the Polish Foreign Ministry writes that the two heads of diplomacy spoke about strengthening political dialogue through regular consulatation and cooperation in international forums.

A number of issues concerning industry – including the food, automotive and energy sectors – were also discussed.
