The situation on the southern borders of Belarus is getting more complicated all the time. This was stated by the President of the country Alexander Lukashenko during the approval of the decision on border protection by the border service in 2022, BelTA informs.

According to him, the security of Belarus "begins from the border, because sovereignty is ensured within these borders." The head of state stressed that the security agencies should ensure the effectiveness of border protection by improving the engineering and technical equipment of the borders.

Lukashenka also noted that the country's leadership would never allow the country to be occupied.

Earlier, the press secretary of the Security Service of Ukraine, Artem Dekhtyarenko, denied Lukashenka's words that Kiev had concentrated units of the National Guard, consisting of "radical nationalists", near the border.
