Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that the country is not threatened by a Russian invasion in the near future. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

According to the head of the Ministry of Defense, there are no signs of an imminent escalation of tension on the Russian-Ukrainian border.

“There is no such threat. Therefore, I ask you not to sow panic. The war on the part of the Russian Federation has been unleashed against Ukraine since 2014 in the form of the occupation of Crimea,” he said.

Reznikov added that the armed forces of Ukraine have prepared for various scenarios of a hypothetical conflict and know what to do if it starts.

Earlier, Forbes magazine published an article describing the bombing of Ukraine by Russia in the event of an armed conflict between countries. The author of the article, David Ax, noted that the Russian Aerospace Forces have the third largest fleet of bombers - after China and the United States. The Ukrainian air defense system will not be able to intercept the Russian Tu-22M3, Tu-95 and Tu-160, armed with cruise missiles, he added.
