Czech Republic ratifies Association Agreement between the EU and Georgia

The Czech Republic has ratified the Association Agreement between the EU and Georgia.

According to Georgia’s Foreign Ministry, all parties in the Czech Parliament voted in favor of the document, except for the Communist Party, which abstained from voting.

The Czech Republic is the 19th EU member country to ratify the Association Agreement between the EU and Georgia.

Georgia signed the association agreement with the EU on June 27, 2014. The agreement stipulates Georgia’s accession to the EU free trade zone.

A month later, the agreement was ratified by Georgia’s parliament, and on Sept. 1, the realization of a large part of the agreement was launched.
