Milashina will continue to write about Chechnya from abroad

Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - The editorial office of Novaya Gazeta, which previously demanded that a case be opened against the head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, announced the departure of its journalist Elena Milashina, who wrote dozens of negative articles about the authorities and residents of the republic.

Kadyrov recently called Milashina a terrorist for her activities. RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan, in turn, said that she considers the Novaya journalist an "unprofessional, biased underdog."

The editors of the publication explained that the journalist goes on a business trip abroad after "numerous personal threats."

Milashina's colleagues made it clear that the journalist would not refuse to cover her favorite topic related to Chechnya.

"Her location will not affect the coverage of the topic of human rights in Chechnya," the report says.
