According to the operational services of the region, last Sunday 17 settlements in the most affected areas - Seversky, Slavyansky and Krasnoarmeisky were freed from the melted snow. Previously, emergency mode was introduced in them.

There are currently 30 people in two temporary accommodation centers. According to official data, 194 flood victims received targeted assistance these days. However, the water spill was so rapid that the coverage of the affected areas was not immediately clear.

Therefore, people in need of help are much larger than this figure. For example, in the large village of Severskaya (its population is almost 25 thousand people), located just three dozen kilometers from Krasnodar, the streets turned into Venetian canals - in some places the water rose to the waist. Detachments of the Krasnodar regional emergency rescue service "Kuban-Spas" swam delivered high rubber boots and drinking water to the captives of the elements. District deputies and local entrepreneurs did not stand aside - they chipped in to purchase food and warm clothes for the victims. Indeed, in many houses had to turn off the gas and electricity.

To eliminate the disaster, rescuers cleared and deepened 10 kilometers of main canals and created an additional 14 kilometers of bypass channels. The water is slowly subsiding, the peak is overcome. However, in the coming days, weather forecasters predict in some places rain with sleet and night frosts, and of course, this can cause serious difficulties in solving everyday problems.
