Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - Arrests of members of the former leadership of the National Security Committee (KNB) continue in Kazakhstan.

On Monday morning, it became known that the ex-deputy chairman of the special services, Daulet Yergozhin, had been taken into custody.

Earlier, a similar measure was taken by the court against the former head of the KNB of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov and his deputy Anuar Sadykulov.

All of them are defendants in a criminal case labeled "Top Secret".

Massimov, who has been in charge of the KNB for the past five years, is charged with treason. Both his deputies and himself are also accused of forcible seizure of power and abuse of power.

Prior to this, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev criticized the actions of the KNB during the recent unrest in the country. He accused the leaders of the special services of inaction and flight from their posts.
