Bloomberg: Ukraine plans to buy new drones from Turkey

Ukraine is ready to purchase new unmanned aerial vehicles from Turkey. This was reported by Bloomberg with reference to the head of the Public Relations Department of the Turkish Presidential Administration, Fahrettin Altun.

“The volume of trade between Ukraine and Turkey increased by 59% last year, reaching $7.1 billion. The defense industry is one of the areas in which progress has been made in the relationship,” Altun said.

According to a representative of the administration of the Turkish head, Kiev has already bought 12 Turkish drones from Ankara. Plans to purchase new drones. The volumes of deliveries of the devices are not yet known.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's communications director said that military cooperation with Ukraine is not directed against Russia and will not be violated to please it.

Earlier it was specified that Erdogan could soon take turns meeting with his Ukrainian and Russian counterparts Vladimir Zelensky and Vladimir Putin.

The Turkish leader also spoke about the purchase of Russian S-400 air defense systems.
