Russia - How the national project helps Siberian enterprises earn millions

Russia (bbabo.net), - In the regions of Siberia, hundreds of enterprises have already become participants in the national project to increase labor productivity. His task is to improve organizational processes, reduce wastage of resources, instill a culture of continuous improvement in teams.

"You can't stop"

- We do not attract new resources, but strive to use the existing ones correctly, - emphasizes Alexander Wagenleiter, head of the Regional Competence Center (RCC) in the field of labor productivity of the Altai Territory. - By eliminating waste and redundant operations, we achieve increased production at a lower cost. First of all, we reduce the time of the processes, use "frozen" warehouse stocks, optimize the number of movements and transportation of products, and also increase the workload of personnel and equipment.

In March, it will be exactly three years since the Altai Territory has been participating in the national project, and during this time 63 companies have joined it. According to the RCC, Altai companies that increase productivity under the national project managed to reduce the time of production processes on pilot streams by an average of forty percent, reduce work in progress by thirty percent and increase output per employee by 81 percent.

“You can't stop in this business, it must be a process of continuous improvement, otherwise you immediately roll back,” Viktoria Cherepanova, head of the Gazprom Distribution-Barnaul project office, shared her experience. - From October 2020 to April 2021, we increased production by one and a half times, but then lowered the figures and even planned to exit the project altogether. Now we are catching up, because the results are really impressive. The program allows you to uncover problems that are difficult for enterprises to identify on their own.

From 2022, digitalization will become one of the main directions for increasing labor productivity. The Rotor plant has been trying to master lean technologies on its own for the third year, and they started here with the introduction of a corporate information system for accounting and resource management.

- Without digitizing all business processes and bringing data into a single system, it is difficult to switch to lean production, - Lyudmila Sechenova, a representative of the plant, is sure. - In 2019, due to the reduction of state defense orders and problems with diversification, our company decided to increase productivity. At that time, the plant could not become a participant in the national project, since we did not have separate sections that produce only civilian products. We decided to introduce technologies ourselves. We started with a unified accounting information system that would help manage all processes. Prior to this, the plant had several unrelated accounting systems - management, accounting, production, technological - which did not allow to see the big picture. And when at the end of 2020 a unified system was launched at the plant, all business processes became transparent and understandable. Now we are ready to implement lean technologies.

Costs are lower, wages are higher

In the Kuzbass city of Leninsk-Kuznetsky, passenger buses began to be prepared for flights using lean technologies.

- The main problems of repairmen are usually related to the fact that the storage of tools, parts and components in the maintenance area is organized incorrectly, there is no clear work planning system, there are failures in the supply of materials, - said Dmitry Perekrestov, head of the regional center of competence in the field of labor productivity. - We expect the effect in six months, and after three years of participation in the national project, productivity should increase annually by at least five percent.

It is thanks to the national project that employees of the Kemerovo company, a manufacturer of fastening materials and metal products for the mining industry and construction, began to receive more for their work. RCC experts helped them identify over twenty problems that hindered the production process. As a result, production time was reduced by sixty percent, output at the pilot site tripled, and wages for staff increased by fifteen percent. The overall economic effect was tentatively estimated at 18.5 million rubles a year.

According to official data, more than a thousand employees of forty-four enterprises have already been trained in lean technologies free of charge and on the job in Kuzbass. So, last year, 564 people underwent systematic training - twice as many as in 2020. Now they share their knowledge and skills with colleagues. The national project, focused on medium and large players in the basic non-primary sectors of the economy, includes all new participants. Among them are large chemical plants in Kemerovo and a cement plant in Topki, processing, road repair and construction, pharmaceutical companies, as well as the Kemerovo airport named after Alexei Leonov. It is expected that in 2022 at least ten more Kuzbass enterprises will join the ranks of adherents of thrift.

Reserves still have

For two years of implementation in the Omsk region of the National Project "Productivity" by its participants, three dozen enterprises have already become. The average output per employee increased by 66 percent, and production processes became 40 percent more economical. And there are still reserves.

This year, the regional competence center in the field of labor productivity plans to double the number of Omsk companies that will receive targeted support under the national project.

The first stage of the project was completed by the Omsk Passenger Enterprise N8. For six months, the capacity for maintenance of PAZ buses has doubled here, and the derailment of cars from the line (the park serves 56 urban and suburban routes) has completely stopped.

- In addition, we have increased daily output by half, reduced the time of technical operations by a quarter, there are practically no downtime, - adds and. O. Director of PATP Mikhail Tomilov. - And as a result of income growth, we not only managed to fully provide jobs with equipment and spare parts, but also increased the salaries of foremen, drivers and conductors. And twice.

Thanks to the national project, the time for the production and packaging of sausages at the Siberian Sausages company has been reduced by one and a half times. The same effect was achieved in the reference workshop of the VELTA software when searching for the necessary parts by creating a transparent storage system. We accelerated the production of metal structures at WMD N1 by more than a third.

Recently, the Omsk airport and the first representative of the agro-industrial complex, the Yastro-Agro company, have joined the national project, intending to triple the production of oilseeds and fodder.

Direct speech

Anna Negoduiko, Minister of Economy of the Omsk Region:

- "Labor Productivity" is one of the most ambitious in terms of goals and interesting in terms of synergy results of the national project. Despite the coronavirus restrictions, interest in it is growing. And by 2024, the number of participants in the region will reach 84. In the RCC efficiency rating, the Omsk region has already risen by eleven positions, taking 14th place.

It is also important that the project involves additional support measures - preferential loans, free training of employees. And a comprehensive system of increasing labor productivity will ensure success not only for the enterprise, but for the entire region, since we are talking about employment, the growth of tax deductions, as well as social stability.
