Czech analyst Ian Campbell said that the North Atlantic Alliance will not expand, otherwise it will have to cease to exist. It is reported by Parliamentní listy.

Campbell noted that in the near future NATO will not be able to accept new states into its membership, guided by the instinct of self-preservation.

“But I would like NATO to expand every week, not every few years. Why? The more and faster NATO expands, the faster it will disappear into the archives,” the expert said.

According to him, in this case, the world will "sleep more peacefully", and "passions, lies and hypocrisy" will become a thing of the past.

Earlier, the head of the German Bundestag Defense Committee, Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann, said that the joint nuclear mission of NATO countries will continue as long as Russia has the appropriate weapons.

“Russia calls for an end to Nuclear sharing (a strategy for sharing the NATO nuclear arsenal by member states) in the West so that it does not exist. It [the strategy] will continue as long as the Russian Federation has the appropriate weapons,” Shtrak-Zimmerman said.
