In Germany, they told how to resolve the differences between NATO and Russia

Former German Defense Minister Franz Josef Jung said that differences between NATO and Russia over eastward expansion of the alliance could be resolved diplomatically. He told RIA Novosti about this.

According to him, this can be done with the help of the Minsk agreements. He mentioned a conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, in which he said that Ukraine was not complying with the terms of the agreements.

Once the Minsk agreements are implemented, "then our diplomatic efforts will be over," Jung concluded.

Earlier, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kozak spoke about the state of the Minsk agreements after the meeting of political advisers of the Normandy format in Berlin.

According to him, the negotiations were fruitless, but this is also a result, since now it has become clear what the statements of the partners in the Normandy format are worth. Kozak noted that Kiev is sabotaging the execution of Minsk-2, and this sabotage has been going on for eight years.

He stated that three of the four participants in the Normandy format are not ready to implement the Minsk agreements. The representative of Russia said that Ukraine offered to involve the OSCE in a dialogue with the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR, but this is contrary to the agreements.
