Former Prime Minister of Ukraine, leader of the Batkivshchyna party Yulia Tymoshenko believes that the escalation near the borders of Ukraine is connected with attempts to force Kiev to comply with the Minsk agreements. The politician stated this on the air of Ukraine 24.
According to the politician, a full-scale war against Ukraine is currently unlikely, and there are four reasons for this - the number of "Russian military and equipment on the border", the advance announcement and "unwinding" of the offensive, the mobilization of the international community, and the preparation of the Ukrainian army.
In this regard, Tymoshenko suggested that the aggravation of the situation around Ukraine should have a different goal.
“Everyone agrees and I support it. The main goal is to force Ukraine to immediately comply with the Minsk agreements, which are unacceptable for Ukraine,” Tymoshenko said.
Earlier, Tymoshenko compared the implementation of the Minsk agreements with high treason. According to the politician, the current leadership of Ukraine should not "even think" about complying with the terms of the agreements, describing them as "shameful."
