Lavrov: Russia does not want to threaten anyone, but others threaten it

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said during a press conference following talks with his British counterpart Elizabeth Truss that the country does not show aggression towards others. The broadcast is conducted by TASS.

“We don’t want to threaten anyone, you look at public statements, no threats have ever been heard anywhere, they threaten us,” the head of the ministry said.

Prior to this, Lavrov said that London and Moscow interpret the Minsk agreements differently. He added that Truss told in detail about the situation with Ukraine's failure to comply with the mentioned agreements.

According to the minister, the meeting with Truss was unprecedented.

On February 10, British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss arrived in Moscow for talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on the situation around Ukraine. The next day, also in the Russian capital, British Defense Minister Ben Wallace is to meet with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
