In Ukraine, they announced problems with Turkish Bayraktar UAVs

Military analyst, chairman of the board of the Ukrainian military center Taras Chmut said that in Ukraine there were problems with the operation of Turkish Bayraktar drones due to the lack of suitable runways. He spoke about this in an interview on the YouTube channel "Military".

According to Chmut, Ukrainian aviation as a whole is currently experiencing problems with runways.

“This is a problem with which we live, and which we must solve in any case, except for one thing - if we abandon aviation,” the analyst said.

He added that only large airfields that are used by civil aviation are suitable for heavy Turkish Akinci drones.

Chmut emphasized that in the case of the Bayraktar UAV, which is much lighter, there were problems with the racks.

“There is a concept of takeoff and landing resource, and if you need to change racks every three takeoffs and landings, then this is such a story, not really,” the analyst said.

He noted that Ukraine needs to do something with the problem of runways, as the current ones do not fit the current goals.

Earlier, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that for the period from February 10 to February 20, it is planned to conduct exercises at the country's training grounds using Bayraktar attack drones and Javelin missile systems.
