The first convoy with military equipment of the US military group arrived in Romania the day before. A special corridor was organized for the passage of armored personnel carriers and trucks on the Hungarian-Romanian border.
Two other columns will cross the border during the night, TASS reports, citing Romania's national news agency AGERPRES. According to the commander of the 191st Infantry Battalion, who met American trucks, each of the three columns includes 16 pieces of equipment.
Already on Thursday they will go to the military base "Mikhail Kogalniceanu" in Constanta. It is specified that the military will arrive in Romania "in the following days in accordance with the redeployment schedule."
Recall that over the weekend, the first detachments of American troops arrived in Germany and Poland, whom the US President decided to send to Eastern Europe under the pretext of inciting tension around Ukraine. According to the Polish Press Agency, nine aircraft delivered the US military, and a total of 1,700 troops will be transferred to the country. About a thousand more American soldiers will be sent to Romania.
