CNN has advised Russia not to "invade" Ukraine because temperatures are warmer than usual this winter and Russian weapons could get stuck in the mud.

According to CNN journalist Melissa Bell, the temperature in the country is 1-3 degrees higher than usual, which "may have a bearing on the Russian military offensive." She emphasizes that, given the Ukrainian landscape, it will be more convenient for weapons to move on frozen ground. Although modern tanks will be able to pass, there may be problems with the supply of ammunition and fuel, the material notes.

It is also said that cloudy weather, rain or snow will hamper the advance.

Washington has repeatedly noted that on the issue of a possible Russian invasion of Ukraine, "there is still time and space for diplomacy." So, earlier this was stated by Pentagon spokesman John Kirby. According to him, the United States believes that Russia has not yet made final decisions on the situation around Ukraine.

In recent months, statements have been made in the West, and in Kiev in particular, that Russia is allegedly preparing an “invasion” of Ukraine. In turn, the Kremlin has more than once directly denied any plans for an attack, and reports from Western media and officials about the preparation of an attack are called baseless and untrue.
