The governor of the Tula region gave the Olympic medalist Gulnaz Khatuntseva an apartment

Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - Governor of the Tula region Alexei Dyumin presented the keys to the apartment to the bronze medalist of the Tokyo Olympics, cyclist Gulnaz Khatuntseva (Badykova). The apartment was purchased on behalf of the governor with extrabudgetary funds.

“For many, it is no secret that cycling is not a highly paid sport like many others. And for cyclists there is one competition every four years, the achievement of a positive result in which can give confidence that the choice that was made many years ago in favor of cycling was the right one. But the most important thing in this chain is that someone will notice this result and appreciate it! That's what happened to me. After winning a medal at the Tokyo Olympics, the governor of the Tula region handed me the keys to a new apartment. This event will remain in my memory forever!” - the athlete wrote on her Instagram page.

Gulnaz also noted that this gift is a colossal support, incredible inspiration, a push forward to achieve even greater goals and heights.

A native of Bashkortostan, a 27-year-old cyclist, better known for her performances on the track, Gulnaz Khatuntseva (Badykova) represents Moscow and the Tula region on the sports arena.
