Kuleba reacted to the incident with the flag of Ukraine in the Slovak parliament

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba spoke about pouring water on the Ukrainian flag in the Slovak parliament, TASS reports.

He noted that despite the protest expressed by Kiev, the incident will not spoil relations with Bratislava.

“We have excellent relations with the government of Slovakia, everything is fine, and this incident will not affect relations between Ukraine and Slovakia,” Kuleba said.

The minister noted that what happened was not a “targeted anti-Ukrainian action”, but the result of a conflict not related to Ukraine. He added that disrespectful attitude to the flag is unacceptable, and promised a "worthy response."

The desecration of the national symbol took place at a meeting devoted to the consideration of an agreement on military cooperation with the United States. The flag was doused by Andrej Medvecki, member of the far-right People's Party Our Slovakia.

Subsequently, the head of the Slovak Foreign Ministry apologized for the act of the parliamentarian.
