Croatian president accuses Britain of fomenting Russian-Ukrainian conflict

The British authorities, due to their own internal political difficulties and relations with the United States, are irresponsibly pushing Ukraine into conflict with Russia. This was stated by Croatian President Zoran Milanovic, his words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

“Ukraine will not be happy if it listens to the current London, they are being drawn into a very dangerous adventure. The President (Vladimir of Ukraine - Ed.) Zelensky understood this, and everything I hear from Kiev in recent days is very reasonable and responsible in relation to his own country, ”Milanovic said and ironically suggested that Britain send another thousand troops to Estonia .

According to the Croatian president, Kiev is being misled, irresponsibly instigated, and "held hostage in the relationship between London, which has become a second-tier power, and Washington." At the same time, Milanovich noted that Ukraine is in stagnation and "is not approaching" accession to the European Union.

» In this sense, I am a friend of Ukraine. But not in the sense that a country that is weak and a thousand times weaker than the Russian Federation in the military sense is generally kept under the illusion that everything can be solved with five aircraft with weapons. I don’t want not a single Ukrainian, not a single Russian and not a single Croat to die - there is no chance, ”the Croatian leader noted.

Milanovic also stressed that in the current situation there can be no stability both in Europe and in the West as a whole without Russia.

The day before, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Moscow would make a huge strategic mistake by attacking Ukraine. During the talks in Kiev, Johnson and Zelensky agreed that they would cooperate and maintain a strategic dialogue. The head of the British government also said that the Ukrainians will fight the Russians to the last drop of blood. Read the details in the material.
