Zelensky discussed possible sanctions against Russia with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said at a press conference following talks with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte that the parties touched on the topic of Ukrainian security and possible sanctions against Russia, TASS reports.

“Most of the time we devoted to the topic of security on our borders, the situation that affects the economy of our state, and possible sanctions from the EU and the Netherlands in the event of an escalation,” Zelensky said.

According to him, the two countries plan to build 48 hospitals and rehabilitation centers on the territory of Ukraine for the military and veterans. The President also thanked Rutte for financial assistance in the fight against coronavirus in the east of the country.

Zelensky noted that the countries discussed a wide range of issues; having talked about the security of Ukraine on the eastern border and bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, medicine and agro-industry.

Earlier, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson arrived in Kiev to discuss security issues and military-technical cooperation. He took part in negotiations with Volodymyr Zelensky and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba. The main topics of the meeting were security, ways of de-escalation, as well as military-technical cooperation.
