This decision was made by the operational headquarters by order of Rospotrebnadzor. However, the authorities are not yet considering the issue of transferring all educational institutions in the region to distance learning. This was announced at a briefing in the government of the region by the first deputy governor, Irina Gekht.

“Our tactic is the local closure of schools and classes where the epidemiological situation required it,” the official explained. - In the region, the incidence pattern is different, especially in rural areas, where there are few cases. Therefore, today each school has been given the right to independently decide on the full-time or part-time format of education.

According to current recommendations, any class can be closed as soon as one case of coronavirus is detected. For ARVI, it was decided to close classes and schools in general if at least 20 percent of students fall ill. And, as a rule, the management of educational institutions follows these recommendations.

Today, in the region, quarantine for COVID-19 has been introduced in 27 classes of 10 educational institutions, in total, 725 students are in isolation. For SARS, the incidence is higher - 45 schools with 21817 students are closed, another 33 schools and 119 separate classes have been transferred to distance learning.

With the advent of "omicron" in the region, the number of hospitalizations is growing. However, the main blow was taken by doctors in the primary care. The number of people seeking help at polyclinics, according to Hecht, has tripled over the past week. Meanwhile, the number of pneumonias is decreasing, which confirms the version that the new strain spreads faster, but causes a less severe course of the disease.
