Russia - How MES virtual labs help students prepare for the Unified State Examination

Russia (bbabo.net), - MES virtual libraries are an effective tool for schoolchildren in preparing for the Unified State Examination in a number of exact sciences. Anton Marko, deputy director of the City Methodological Center of Moscow, spoke about how to use the laboratories and what help they provide in preparing for exams.

"Physics lab tools will allow students to visualize (create a dynamic image) of text tasks from USE KIMs, which means they will help to understand the essence of the task," Marco said. "For example, in tasks for calculating electrical circuits, schoolchildren can transform a circuit and see how it is connected elements, measure currents and voltages in sections, which will be a good hint in finding a solution or a tool for checking the correctness of the step taken in the solution.

Building a dynamic drawing or graph of complex mathematical problems from the Unified State Examination in mathematics laboratories will allow students to see the features of the problem situation: several options for the location of objects in planimetry, special parameter values in equations or inequalities, details of three-dimensional bodies and their sections in stereometry. And this is a significant help in solving problems on your own.

According to Marco, the technology and informatics laboratories will be useful in preparing for the Unified State Examination in informatics for those who aim for high scores, and therefore plan to solve programming problems. In these laboratories, you can write codes and check them for correctness in work.

To use the virtual laboratories of the MES library, you need to log in. More information about virtual laboratories can be found on the MES website.

Recall that the MES library has 30 laboratories in the subjects of the school curriculum: physics, biology, mathematics, computer science and technology. Users also have access to about 56 thousand lesson scenarios, more than 11 thousand video lessons, over 1.7 thousand electronic teaching aids, 348 textbooks and 245 works of fiction, more than 150 thousand educational interactive applications, a huge number of tests and assignments to prepare for exams and olympiads.
