The State Duma criticized the White House for comparing Russia with a fox in a chicken coop

Vyacheslav Nikonov, First Deputy Head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, commented on the statements of Press Secretary Jen Psaki and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken that Russia is like a fox in a chicken coop.

“It is insulting to call Ukraine a chicken coop. This is worthy of Kiev's protest... Continuing the fabulous terminology, Sherkhan settled in the chicken coop a long time ago and tobaccos are coming up. There are almost no chickens left. And not a single rooster, so there is no one to protest. Do not confuse the fox and the bear, taking into account the consequences, ”Nikonov wrote in his Telegram channel.

Earlier, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said during a briefing that Russia is responsible for the de-escalation of the crisis around Ukraine. She compared the Russian Federation to a fox that screams from the roof of the chicken coop about the fear of chickens.

She echoed the words of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, which he used when answering a question about whether Washington had a "sympathetic" attitude towards Moscow's demand not to expand NATO to the east.
